I am interested in the framing of nature by human-made structures, particularly in the built environment. My background in experimental animation informs my studio process, which involves sequencing, montage and analogue photography in the making of collages, prints, maquettes and books. My work is often collaborative and research-led, and over the past two decades I have been awarded grants, residencies and commissions from Arts Council England, Artsadmin, University College London, and the Wellcome Trust, among others.
